Toshiba Satellite� P755-S5269 Kicks Butt, August 18, 2011 This review is from: Toshiba Satellite� P755-S5269 Laptop Computer With 15.6" LED-Backlit Screen & 2nd Gen Intel� CoreTM i7-2630QM Processor With Turbo Boost 2.0 (Electronics) I carefully shopped around and settled on this Toshiba, which had an i7, Nvidia GT540M dedicated graphics card and a sale price of $799 online at Office Depot. (The price seems to be wondering up & down a lot lately.)
I do some HD video editing on the road, so I needed a pretty powerful laptop, with a good graphics card to handle it. I wanted a laptop with the more powerful GTX560M card, but most of those machines were 17" (too big) and over $1000, which I really didn't want to spend.
The first thing I did when I got this laptop, was to replace the hard drive with an SSD (solid state drive) and the laptop really flies!! Just a few seconds to boot up in Windows 7. Programs start very fast.
Did a fresh install of Windows 7, put all the latest drivers on, and none of the commercial "bloatware" that Toshiba gets paid to stick you with.
The laptop comes with a nice back-lit keyboard, which is preset to turn off 1 second after you stop typing. I... Read more

Toshiba notebook I have bought for my family or own use. Once again, I am very pleased with the purchase. I had read some reviews and decided to go for it. I am glad I chose this model. This Toshiba Satellite P755-S5269 Laptop is awesome. Both the display and the keyboard are very nice. So, everything is 5-star but the AC/DC adapter. The adapter is larger and heavier (compared to the other models I owned). Thus, this adds an extra weight to the backpack.
